Space Conference

1st November 2016

What a fantastic first day we have had in Portsmouth. We began the day with a careers talk from a film maker and ESA geologist. We had a chance to look round an exhibition of space activities and companies and that was even before the activities started!

We built and tested paper rockets, tried to beat the record for most distance cycled, as Tim Peake did on the ISS. We then worked on becoming space diarists!

The day finished with a keynote speech from Dallas Campbell, the famous presenter and scientist. He told us all about the history of space suits. He even brought along a suit that was identical to the one Tim wore on the ISS!

We can't wait for our chance to share our work and (hopefully) meet Tim tomorrow!

Check out a selection of videos and photos from today. The last video is a compilation of all our footage.
